In 1963 political activist, Bayard Rustin, is given the task of organizing and coordinating a freedom march around the White House. Despite the efforts of racist, homophobic naysayers, Rustin’s enthusiasm and infectious energy motivates over 100,000 people to participate in the most well known freedom march in Civil Rights history, the 1963 March on Washington.
