I am proud of our students in the Connecticut College Orchestra for their musical achievement and community engagement. They will be traveling for their first international concert tour in Tokyo in collaboration with Tokyo Sinfonia with support from Connecticut College and the United States-Japan Foundation. Our orchestra will be also participating in Connecticut Orchestra Month in March 2025, spearheaded by the Hartford Symphony Orchestra. I am especially excited about their upcoming performance at the Garde Arts Center. This is a very special concert as Prof. Liu is collaborating with Lisa Marien, the choir director for the New London Public Schools. This is truly an event that will celebrate the artistic excellence of New London through music.
