Park Place Artists is a representation of oil painters from Connecticut and Washington, D.C. who create original works in a collaborative setting, under the tutelage of esteemed artist Maureen O’Brien. Each individual artist contributes their unique style and talent which creates an atmosphere of fellowship, and inspires new ideas and concepts. The oil paintings chosen for this exhibit represent a range of emotions, colorways, and impressionistic painting styles.
Portraits, landscapes, and seascapes are introduced in this collection including Judy Nadler’s “Big Hat Convict #1” and “Big Hat Convict #2” and Maureen O’Brien’s “The Exhausted Bride;” Katherine Diaz-Saavedra’s seascapes “Foggy”, “The Crossing” and “Ledge Light”, and Jacqueline Tedeschi’s “No Promises.” The Connecticut shoreline and its surroundings inspired many paintings in this collection.
