Summer on Stage

WITH THE MISSOULA CHILDREN'S THEATRE

Presented by the Garde Arts Center, Citizens Bank and the Mohegan Tribe

The Garde Arts Center and Missoula Children's Theatre invite your child to participate in an unforgettable summer theater experience. Your child will take classes in acting, movement, stagecraft makeup, and participate as actors, singers, dancers, stagehands, assistant directors and pianists in an original large-cast musical.

Week One

The Amazing Adventures of Robinson Crusoe
Purposefully varying from the plot of Defoe’s novel, we arrive on Robinson’s island years after he and his sole companion, a goat named Wilson, have been shipwrecked.

Saturday, July 13, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.


Week Two

Rapunzel
Would it surprise you to know that the story of Rapunzel happened in France? Well it didn’t really, but the Missoula’s Children’s Theatre’s twist on this classic tale takes you on a frivolous frolic through the French countryside.

Week Three

Pinocchio
Join our wooden-head puppet as he dances with Geppetto’s charming toys, travels the road to Pleasure Isle with Candlewick and his Crew, and is swindled by the unsavory Fox and Cat.

KATE ESKRA FIORAVANTI Coordinator, Summer On Stage.
Kate brings years of educational and theatrical experience, teaching PK-12 and performing herself since she was a child. During the year, Fioravanti is the Arts Director and Head Teacher at the (ISAAC) Interdistrict School for Arts And Communication in New London. Under her direction and with Missoula and Garde faculty, SOS focuses on every child’s self-expression and theatrical experience in a unique and innovative week like none other.
