By George!

“Say Goodnight, Gracie: The Life, Love and Laughter of George Burns and Gracie Allen'' is a one-man tribute to the man who once played God in the movies and the seemingly ditzy woman who stood by him.

The show looks back on Burns' youth in the lower East Side of Manhattan, his career in vaudeville, and the day he met Grace Ethel Cecile Rosalie Allen. Unfortunately, star Don McArt recently broke his ankle during the national tour, and Joe Rooks, who was an understudy in 2002-2003 for the Broadway run, will portray Burns Friday when the show comes to the Garde.
