Recently adapted for the US premier tour following a wildly successful run in the UK, Girls Night: The Musical follows five friends in their 30s and 40s during a wild and outrageous girls’ night out at a karaoke bar. Together, they reminisce about their younger days, celebrate their current lives and look to the future, all the while belting out classic anthems. Written by Louise Roche and directed by Jack Randle, Girls Night: The Musical stars Deborah Radloff (Anita), Janine Smith (Carol), Jennifer Jane (Sharon), Danielle Wetzel (Kate) and Sonya Carter (Lisa).

Amidst the laughs and songs, some profound observations are made about all kinds of issues. Presented on a single disco-style set, the girls replay their lives in flashbacks, in-between giving stirring renditions of seventies favorites, from "I'm Every Woman" and "I Will Survive" to "We are Family," "Girls Just Want to Have Fun," and "At Seventeen." Girls Night: The Musical is an unmissable slice of sizzling entertainment for anyone who really knows how to have fun. The Buckingham Advertiser calls it, “A must-see for women everywhere!”

Girls Night: The Musical is sponsored in part by Blu-Prints Unlimited, Inc. Tickets are $32 and $38 and are now on sale to the general public at the Garde Box Office, 325 State Street; by phone at (860) 444-7373; and, online at www.gardearts.org.

In 2005, Norma Logan (1958-2006) and Sandy Maniscalco started the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation (TBBCF). The desire to establish a non-profit organization was from frustration at seeing successful fundraising efforts being diverted from research to cover organizational overhead. Determined to address this issue and ensure money was directed at finding a cure, these women established a unique non-profit organization, which through sponsorship and volunteerism, is able to direct 100 percent of total gross fundraising efforts to breast cancer research. The organization's name was chosen to honor a dear friend, Terri Brodeur, who after a two-year battle with Stage 4 breast cancer, succumbed to the disease leaving behind a beloved husband and three young children.

The Garde Arts Center is southeastern Connecticut’s non-profit center for the performing arts. The Garde owns and operates the historic Garde Theatre where it presents musicals, opera, orchestras, contemporary music, dance, and family events. The Garde produces the annual New London Film Festival, and provides after-school programs and matinee performances to more than 10,000 young people. Under the leadership of Steve Sigel, Executive Director, since 1988, the Garde has become a major catalyst for the cultural and economic revitalization of New London.
