(NEW LONDON, CT) Eastern Connecticut’s premiere showplace for the performing arts, the Garde Arts Center, announced subscriptions are now on sale for the 2007/08 The Day Young & Fun series.

The five-show series opens on October 27, 2007 with two performances of the Russian American Kids Circus, and includes the Fred Garbo Inflatable Theatre Co., Tap Kids, AudraRox, and Mike Super Magic & Illusion. The weekend series features some of the finest family entertainment touring the nation and appeals to ages, from pre-school to high school. Each show is accompanied by pre-show lobby events, sponsored by Pfizer, Inc., along with special concession items and prizes for the kids.

Eight of the nation's most talented young tap dancers take to the stage in this rousing, joyous celebration of American youth culture. In a series of musical vignettes Tap Kids tells the story of a group of high-school kids facing challenges both mundane and momentous as they prepare for the big school dance at the end of the day and, ultimately, for graduation at the end of their senior year. The Garde Arts Center, now celebrating the Garde Theater’s 80th season, is southeastern Connecticut’s non-profit center for the performing arts.
