Alessandro Fantoni, was born in Genoa. He studied in the Opernhaus Academy of Zürich, Switzerland, and he perfected his studies with Roberto Sèrvile. He debuted with him as Gabriele Adorno (Simon Boccanegra) and Ismaele (Nabucco) in Piacenza. Fantoni made first debuts with the Dänische Nationaloper in Aarhus: Roberto in Maria Stuarda, Nemorino in L’Elisir d’Amore, Duca in Rigoletto, Alfredo in La traviata, Manrico in Il trovatore and Rodolfo in La Bohème.

Among other roles he performed as Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi and Arlecchino in Pagliacci in Pavia, Arvino in I Lombardi alla Prima crociata with Teatro Comunale di Piacenza, Cavaradossi in Tosca and Alfredo in La Traviata with Festival di Casamari. In 2013/14 he was a member of IOS at Opernhaus Zürich, where he sang in La Bohème (Cover for the role of Rodolfo) conducted by Nello Santi, Fidelio (erster Gefangener) under Fabio Luisi and Andreas Homoki, Les contes d’Hoffmann under Fabio Luisi and Grischa Asagaroff, La fanciulla del West under Marco Armiliato and Barrie Kosky, and Andrea Chenier under Nello Santi und Grischa Asagaroff. Performance in 2021/2022: Traviata with Cairo Opera House and Tunisi Opera House, Napoli Milionaria with Teatro del Giglio in Lucca, Teatro Goldoni in Livorno and Teatro Verdi in Pisa, Rigoletto with Luciano Pavarotti foundation in Teatro Duse in Bologna, Fanciulla del West in Teatro del Giglio in Lucca, Madama Butterfly and Traviata in Teatro Concordia in Venaria, Cavalleria Rusticana in Varese Opera Festival, Traviata in Roman Opera Craiova.

Performances in 2018/19: Capinera (Nino) and Madama Butterfly(Pinkerton) with Teatro Bellinii in Catania, Cavalleria Rusticana(Turiddu) with House of music in Moscow, Gianni Schicchi(Rinuccio) with Festival Torre del Lago Puccini, Traviata (Alfredo) with Carlo felice Genova, Aslico Teatro sociale in Como and Teather in Baska Bystrica.
Performance 2016/17: La Rondine(Ruggero/Prunier) with Festival torre del lago Puccini and Carlo felice di Genova, Traviata (Alfredo) with Teather Banska Bystrica in Slovacchia, Carmen (DonJosè) with Aslico.

Performances in 2014/15: Concerto in memoria di Beneamino Gigli with Teatro Sociale di Rovigo, Andrea Chénier (un incredibile) with Teatro San Carlo di Napoli conducted by Nello Santi, Lucia di Lammermoor (Edgardo) and Billy Budd (Novice) with Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa; Nabucco (Ismaele) with Arena di Verona. In the season 2015/16 he sings Duca in Rigoletto in Chiavari under Stefano Romani and Alberto Paloscia, Don Ottavio (Cover) in Don Giovanni, Roberto Devereaux and Salome under Fabio Luisi with Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa. In past seasons he also performed with Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa in Oz on the road by B. Coli and as Edmondo in Manon Lescaut in Ascoli Piceno and other theaters in Marche. In the summer 2014 he made his debut as Cavaradossi in Tosca in Denmark. In concert he performed in Beethoven’s IX Symphony in Tokio conducted by M. Natsuda and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle in Marseille and in many other concerts with Fondazione Luciano Pavarotti. Alessandro Fantoni is winner of “Concorso internazionale Ruggero Leoncavallo” (third prize, 2010), “Toti dal Monte” (special prize for the role of Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, 2011), “Cappuccilli, Respighi, Patan” in Grosseto, “Una voce per l’Arena” (first prize 2014). He worked with Accademia Chigiana, with Società Arturo Toscanini di Parma and with Cantiere Lirico del Teatro Goldoni di Livorno with conductors, singers and directors such as J. Petruzzelli Bari. Webb, A. Paloscia, F. Torriggiani, A. Pizzech and G. Casolla. In the year 2023 he debut in “La Forza del Destino” of G.Verdi in the Ancient Theater of Plovdid under the direction of M°Abzal Mukhidiniv and in the new Opera “Edith” dedicated to Edith Piaf in the Theater Carlo Felice of Genova The next performa will be Diego Fiedermaus in Teatro Comunale Ferrara and Salome in Teatro Petruzzelli di Bari.
