Formed by distinguished Guinean choreographer Keita Fodeba in 1952 and recognized as the National Dance Company of the Republic of Guinea, Les Ballets Africains brings their inimitable blend of traditional dance, music, and storytelling to New London. Featuring striking demonstrations of spectacle, acrobatics, comedy and drama, Les Ballets Africains thrills audiences with the multilayered intensity of traditional polyrhythms, and the power of African percussion. Through their use of traditional dance, authentic Guinean instruments and costumes, the company proudly shares their culture and message of unity.
